Dr. Bourne is a Professor of Surgery at the
University of Western Ontario. Dr. Bourne’s practice is
dedicated to adult reconstruction in hip and knee replacement. In addition to
clinical practice, Dr. Bourne is devoted to teaching and research. Dr. Bourne
is actively involved with both clinical and basic science research. His primary
interests are clinical trials, musculoskeletal imaging, wear studies, retrieval
analyses and analysis of large data sets (i.e. Canadian Joint Replacement
Registry). Dr. Bourne is a past
President of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association (2005-06) and the Hip Society
(1998-99). Dr. Bourne will be President of the Knee Society in 2011.
